Assign team emails as tasks

The real problem with a shared inbox isn't reading the emails: it's knowing who replies. Task assignment solves that.

In a shared inbox, the question is never “did we receive this?” but “who's handling it?”. Without a clear answer, everyone assumes a colleague has it, and the customer waits. In an InboxBriefs team space, every email that needs action becomes a task any member can assign to one or more colleagues - or the whole team in one click. The assignee gets an email notification, and the shared agenda keeps track of who does what.

What happens without clear assignment

How assignment works

Every request becomes a task

Emails that call for action feed the team agenda as tasks. You can also create tasks by hand for anything that doesn't arrive by email.

Assign to one or many people

Any member assigns a task to a colleague, to several, or to the whole team in one click (“Everyone”). Each assignee gets an email notification with the task title and the space it belongs to.

Shared status and due dates

A task can be marked in progress or done, carry a due date and a reminder. The whole team sees progress - no need to chase to find out where things stand.

Notifications you control

Each member tunes their notifications (agenda, tasks, calendars) and can enable a reminder on a specific task, without being flooded by the rest.

Frequently asked questions

Is the assignee notified?+

Yes. Each assignment sends an email notification to the person involved, with the task title and the space it comes from.

Can we assign to the whole team at once?+

Yes. An “Everyone” button selects all members in one click - handy for a task everyone needs to see.

Can I reassign a task to myself?+

Yes. Any member can self-assign a task, reassign it to a colleague, or change its assignees at any time.

Are tasks linked to the original email?+

Tasks from an email keep their context in the space. The emails themselves stay read-only: InboxBriefs never acts on the mailbox.

Assigning answers, once and for all, the only question that matters: who's handling this? Create your space and turn your shared emails into clear tasks.
