Outlook inbox summary: your daily AI digest

Outlook files your emails into folders and rules, but won't tell you which ones matter today. InboxBriefs reads your Outlook inbox and hands you what matters, ranked, every morning.

Outlook and Microsoft 365 are great at filing: folders, rules, Focused inbox, automatic sweeping. But none of those summarize anything, you still open every message to decide what to handle. InboxBriefs connects to Outlook through Microsoft's official read-only authorization, reads the emails received since your last summary, and sends you a digest where the sorting has already happened: urgent, important, FYI.

Why Outlook alone isn't enough

How InboxBriefs summarizes your Outlook inbox

Read-only Outlook connection

InboxBriefs requests only the Microsoft Graph read scope (Mail.Read): at the level of its own infrastructure, Microsoft blocks it from sending, deleting or modifying any email. Read-only isn't a promise, it's a technical guarantee.

A prioritized digest every morning

Each summary covers the emails received since the previous one, sorted into urgent, important and FYI, with one or two sentences per message. You decide by reading a single recap email, at the hour you choose in your own timezone.

Gmail and Outlook in one place

You can connect both Gmail and Outlook: each inbox counts toward your plan limit, and your priority rules apply everywhere. Ideal if you split personal and work across two different providers.

Frequently asked questions

Which Outlook accounts are supported?+

Both personal Outlook.com / Hotmail accounts and business Microsoft 365 inboxes work: you authorize via the official Microsoft read-only sign-in.

Can InboxBriefs send or delete emails from my Outlook?+

No, never. The read scope granted via Microsoft Graph only allows reading. Any attempt to send, delete or modify would be rejected by Microsoft's servers. Your tokens and summaries are also encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM).

Can I connect Gmail AND Outlook at the same time?+

Yes. The Pro plan lets you connect multiple inboxes, whether Gmail or Outlook. Each connected inbox gets its own prioritized summary, sharing your common rules.

Keep Outlook as your main mailbox, and let InboxBriefs do the morning triage for you. You can try it with no credit card: the 14-day free trial includes 14 summaries, enough to feel the difference over a real work week.
