Yahoo Mail inbox summary: your daily AI digest
Yahoo Mail fills up fast, and its sorting stays basic. InboxBriefs reads your Yahoo inbox and hands you what matters, ranked, every morning.
Yahoo Mail keeps years of email, but won't tell you which ones matter today. Between newsletters, notifications and real messages, everything lands in the same place. InboxBriefs connects to Yahoo through Yahoo's official read-only authorization, reads the emails received since your last summary, and sends you a digest where the sorting has already happened: urgent, important, FYI.
Why Yahoo Mail alone isn't enough
- The folder view doesn't tell you which emails deserve your attention today
- Newsletters and promotions bury the messages that need an action
- Automatic sorting stays mechanical, without understanding the content
- In the end, you still open every message to decide what to handle
How InboxBriefs summarizes your Yahoo inbox
Read-only Yahoo connection
InboxBriefs connects to Yahoo Mail through OAuth (Yahoo's official authorization) and the mail-r read scope: it can read your emails to summarize them, never send, delete or modify any. Your credentials and summaries are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM).
A prioritized digest every morning
Each summary covers the emails received since the previous one, sorted into urgent, important and FYI, with one or two sentences per message. The Bulk Mail (spam) folder is scanned too, in case a real message landed there.
Yahoo, Gmail and Outlook in one place
You can connect several inboxes at once, whether Yahoo, Gmail or Outlook. Each one counts toward your plan limit, and your priority rules apply everywhere.
Rules to copy (and adapt)
- Prioritize emails from my important contacts and any sender waiting for a reply.
- Mark as urgent invoices, order confirmations and payment deadlines.
- Group as FYI newsletters, promotions and automated alerts.
Frequently asked questions
Which Yahoo accounts are supported?+
Personal Yahoo Mail accounts (@yahoo.com, @yahoo.co.uk, @ymail.com…) work: you authorize via the official Yahoo read-only sign-in.
Can InboxBriefs send or delete emails from my Yahoo account?+
No, never. The mail-r scope granted to Yahoo only allows reading. Your access tokens and summaries are also encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM).
How does InboxBriefs read a Yahoo inbox?+
Yahoo no longer offers a mail API, so InboxBriefs uses secure IMAP access authorized through OAuth (XOAUTH2). In practice nothing changes for you: you connect in one click and the summary arrives just like it does for Gmail or Outlook.
Keep Yahoo as your mailbox, and let InboxBriefs do the morning triage for you. You can try it with no credit card: the 14-day free trial includes 14 summaries, enough to feel the difference over a real work week.
